Services

Please note that prices have changed since July 01, 2008 - $100 flat-rate fee for onsite services for most services is still way below what others companies charge.

Technical support - for your home / small business computer.

$100 flat fee for a home / office visit to service your computer. Your computer can also be serviced off-site, brought back and installed at your request.

Services offered:

On-site or off-site installation of hardware / software.

Trouble shooting and fixing hardware / software problems

Instruction on use of hardware / software on your computer.

Clean off Viruses, Adware, Malware, Pop-ups, ect.

Some Software will be installed on your computer at NO CHARGE to help prevent the occurrences in the future.

	Some computers may need to be taken off-site for proper maintenance and repair.
	We DO NOT charge by time! We will complete the task no matter how short or long the task takes to complete.

New computer installation - need help installing a new computer system?

	$100 flat fee - includes normal installation and teaching you about the hardware and software included with the system.
	$150 - for the same as above, with a two month Service Contract as outlined in the Service Contract section).
	Want a customized computer built for you? Call or email us and we can build a tailor made computer for the needs of your home or business.

Service Contracts - You can sign-up for in-home service contracts at the following rates:

2 months for $150 per computer.

4 months for $275 per computer.

6 months for $350 per computer.

These contracts include:

Trouble-shooting and fixing computer problems.

Installation of software and/or computer hardware.

Instruction of installed software and/or hardware (CD/DVD-Burning, Office Products, ect.)

	Equipment and software cost may or may not be included. See the Products page for more information.
	It should also be noted that the above contracts are based on a maximum of 2 service calls (at 2 hours per service call) per month.

Small offices / Businesses please call or email us for a quote, depending on how many computers involved. Please indicate the number of computers on-site.

Services can be scheduled for any time of the day. If you need immediate help - we can usually be there within 4 hours.

Network - Network two or more computers together to be able to share the internet, printers, and files.

	$100 for two computers to be networked. The equipment cost is separate and usually runs about $60. For two computers to be networked, the total cost will be approximately $160. This will include 2 months of tech support for the network components. (Installation of complex wiring may be more).
	Add secured wireless access to your home or office network for $100, (plus approximately $70 equipment cost). For two computers to be wirelessly networked, the total cost will be approximately $170. This will include 2 months of tech support for the wireless network components.

Wireless Internet Access - Use your laptop anywhere in your home or office.

Add secured wireless internet access to your home or office for $100 (plus approximately $70 equipment cost). 1st computer to be configured for wireless internet access is included - $30 each additional computer. (Monthly internet access fees not included).

Website Development - Have a website created to market your products and/or services or to keep your family and friends updated on events.

$175 for a one page basic website. (The webpage you are looking at here is basic!)

$100 per page thereafter

	There is normally a Web hosting fee to post your website on the internet. Most web hosting sites charge anywhere from $3.50 - $10 per month. BCIT can make recommendations based on your needs. There are some FREE Web hosting sites available as well.
	Domain Name Registration usually runs from $5 - $20 per year, depending on the type of name wanted (e.g. .com, .info, .org, ect.).

$100 for a Forum added to your site. A Forum allows people to post questions and comments to the members of the Forum. For more information about Forums, please call or email. Example of a Forum - http://www.nkea.org/phpBB2/index.php

Database Development / Update - Need a data base to store client information, print off mailing labels, print client reports?

	$200 for creation of a new basic database - Store client information, print off mailing labels, print basic client reports.
	$50 / hour for creation of a complex database or revamp of an existing database, (normally 6-8 hours of work is needed to create a complex database).

Security Camera Installation - Want a security camera (or cameras) installed in your home or small business?

$1100 for a 4-camera Digital Video Recording, stand-alone system installed. The system is accessible from any internet connected computer in the world. Equipment cost is included.

$700 for a 4-camera Digital Video Recording system installed ¹. The system is accessible from any internet connected computer in the world. Equipment cost is included.

$300 for a 1-camera Digital Video Recording system installed ¹. The system is accessible from any internet connected computer in the world. Equipment cost is included.

1 = Digital Video Recorder will become apart of your home or small business computer. Therefore, a hard drive upgrade may be needed at an additional cost.

Audio / Video Tech Support - Setup and instruction of audio / video equipment, whether already bought or you need help buying.

Free consultation to determine what you would like and what is in your budget.

Setup of home audio / video equipment and instruction on how to use the equipment.

VCR or DVD - $20 installation and instruction fee.

Home Theater audio system - $25 installation and instruction fee.

TV's already on-site, (not including wall mounted LCD / Plasma) - $25 installation and instruction fee.

This price does not include labor to carry a TV (if needed).

BCIT can purchase, deliver, setup, and instruct you on the use of your TV, for a nominal fee:

	19'-27' TV - $50 (not including cost of the TV).
	28'-60' TV - $100 (not including the cost of the TV).
	61' TV and above - $150 (not including the cost of the TV).
	Wall mounted LCD and Plasma TV's will be more, due to complex mounting and wiring (call or email for a quote).

Equipment / software prices are not included in any of the above prices, unless noted otherwise.

Computer Tip:

Have the inside of your computer cleaned at least once every 6 months. Dust can build up and short out or hamper the electronic components in the computer.
